Quick answer
If you have permission, create a notice, choose all families or one team and check its reach. Notices pinned by the club stay highlighted under Notices until they are unpinned.
The staff app offers a quick way to send operational notices. It is permission-based and has two simple audiences: all the club’s families or the families linked to one team.
Before you start
Check that the announcement is for the active club and that you are authorised to send it. Prepare a short message, avoid personal details, and use Messages when an issue concerns just one family.
Step by step
1. Open the announcement form
From Home, select Send announcement. On a tablet, it is under Tools in the sidebar (more about tablets). If it does not appear or access is restricted, your role does not have the required permission; an administrator must check it.
2. Choose the audience
Select All parents for a general notice or By team to limit the audience. In the latter case, choose the correct team from those available to you.
3. Check the reach
The app calculates how many families will receive the notice. If the number is zero or does not match what you expected, do not continue: check the team and its roster.
4. Write the title and message
Enter a recognisable title and a message with the date, location and required action. Read the whole message on a small screen before sending it.
5. Send it once
Confirm and wait for the success message. The announcement will then appear in the club’s notice history, where recipients can view it in their app.
6. Check pinned notices
Priority announcements appear under Notices, in Pinned notices, until an administrator unpins them. Reading them does not remove them from that section; use their content as a reference while they remain highlighted.
To read a notice you received, open its details under Notices or tap the push notification. This opens the announcement directly and selects its club if you belong to several. The manager records Read in app when you load the details; receiving the notification or opening the list is not enough. If you are offline, you can read notices already saved on your device, but recording a read requires a connection to the server.
If something goes wrong
- An announcement is no longer available: an administrator may have deleted it. It is removed when the app refreshes its data; a copy saved offline may remain visible. A push notification, received email and files already downloaded are not removed from your phone.
- You do not have access: ask an administrator to check the announcements permission on your profile.
- Teams do not appear: check your assignments and active club.
- The audience is empty: the team may have no linked families.
- You chose the wrong audience: tell an administrator; do not immediately resend without clarifying the previous message.
- A pinned notice is no longer relevant: ask an administrator to unpin it from the dashboard.
