Quick answer
Open Payment method and select Update card, or use the secure link sent by the club. Complete the provider's form and return to Clybo’ to check the last digits.
The saved method may be used for recurring charges authorised by the family. Clybo’ displays limited information, such as the card brand and last digits; you enter the full details on the provider’s secure screen.
Before you start
Select the correct club and have the new card ready. If you are using a link received by email, check the sender and address; do not share the link because it authorises a limited operation for your profile.
Step by step
1. Open Payment method
In the app, open the section for your card. Check its current status, brand, last digits and expiry date to confirm which method you are replacing.
2. Start the update
Select Change card. You can also open the secure link sent by the club when a charge is declined or recurring payments still need to be set up.
3. Complete the secure form
Enter your details directly on the provider’s screen. Complete any bank verification requested. The bank screen shows the club’s name as the merchant and an amount of €0.00: this is a verification, not a charge. If you need to open your bank’s app to authorise the card or check a code, return to Clybo’ afterwards.
4. Return to Clybo’
Return to the app or status link and check the card’s last digits and expiry date.
If the installed app restarts when you return from your bank, open Payment method. Clybo’ retrieves the pending attempt. If it opens on Home, you will see a Card verification pending window with two options:
- Continue: opens Payment method so you can check the result or continue verification for the same attempt.
- Discard: cancels the pending attempt and deletes its data saved in Clybo’ once the provider confirms cancellation. The window closes and you can start another attempt whenever you like. The card that was already active is kept.
If we cannot confirm the discard, the window displays an error and lets you try again. If the bank is already processing or has completed verification, select Continue to check the result: an active card is not deleted. The provider retains its technical cancellation record.
The bank may ask for a new code if its previous session has expired. If Checking status with the bank appears, use Check again or return later; this does not mean the card was declined. If verification has finished, Clybo’ waits for the provider’s confirmation and shows the updated card. Back leaves the attempt pending so you can continue later; it does not cancel bank verification.
5. Check outstanding charges
Changing the card does not guarantee that an earlier charge will be retried automatically. Open Fees and follow the available action, or contact the club about the failed transaction.
If something goes wrong
- The link has expired: ask the club for a new one; do not reuse screenshots or old addresses.
- The bank declines the card: contact your bank or use another valid method.
- The old card is still shown: refresh the view and confirm that the provider finished the process.
- The charge is still failing: check the specific fee; it may need a new attempt.
Next step
Return to Check and pay your fees to review outstanding transactions. If you need help, use Contact the club from the app.
