Quick answer
Pinned announcements stay highlighted under Pinned notices until the club unpins them. Open any notice to read it, view attachments and mark it as read.
Announcements share general information with the whole club, selected teams, categories or families. They do not always allow direct replies; to discuss a personal matter, start a conversation.
Before you start
Select the correct club and allow notifications on your device if you want to receive alerts outside the app. The list in Clybo’ remains the source of information even if a system notification does not appear.
Step by step
1. Check Home and pinned notices
Recent announcements may appear in the Home feed or notifications. Priority announcements stay together under Pinned notices, even when newer posts appear; the club decides when they are no longer highlighted.
2. Read the full message
Open a notice from the list or tap its push notification to go straight to its details. Check the title, date, body and sender. Pay attention to times, deadlines and requested actions; the notification text may be only a summary.
3. Open attachments
If the announcement has files, select them to create a private link. Download them only to a secure device and close them when you finish.
4. Check the read status
When you open an announcement’s details, the app records that you read that notice. Opening the list does not mark the others as read. If the club edits the content and notifies you by push, it appears as unread again. This helps the club know whether it should remind people about an important communication, but it is not the same as accepting a consent.
5. Contact the club if you need to reply
If the announcement asks for individual information or you have a question, open Messages and start a new conversation with a relevant subject.
Turn on notifications on your phone
Under Notices, select Turn on notifications and allow the device permission. If notifications are not active yet, the app reminds you with a notice when you open Home: select Turn on notifications, or Not now to be asked again in 7 days. If you blocked them on your phone, the notice tells you to allow them in its settings.
On iPhone, you need iOS 16.4 or later and must open the app from its home-screen icon. To activate notifications the first time, you must tap the button; permission cannot be granted automatically.
Afterwards, the app checks registration when you sign in, return to the foreground, reconnect or switch clubs, even if you do not open Notices. If you previously activated them with that account in that browser and permission is still granted, the app tries to recover them automatically. It also retries registration if the connection failed during activation. If an error appears, reconnect and turn notifications on again; if the device is not ready, reopen the installed app.
Turn off keeps your choice: the app does not turn notifications on again by itself. Signing out cancels that session’s subscription; when you sign in again with the same account, the previous preference may be recovered. A different account does not inherit that activation. If you clear the app’s data, you may need to turn notifications on again.
Temporarily failed sends are retried per device: receiving the notice on a computer does not prevent another attempt on your phone. Acceptance of a send does not guarantee that the system will display the alert immediately.
If an alert arrives without a sound
The app requests sound alerts, including when a new notice replaces the previous one from the same group. iOS decides which sound is actually played. Check Settings → Notifications → Clybo’ → Sounds if that option appears, as well as silent mode, alert volume and Focus modes. Use the app’s name as it appears on your device. See Apple’s notification help. The content remains available in the app even if your phone silences the alert.
On Android
Turn notifications on under Notices and allow the permission. If you use Chrome, also check the site permission under Settings → Site settings → Notifications. See Chrome help.
If an alert appears without sound, open its settings and choose Alerting; check the sound for that category, volume and Do Not Disturb. Some phones reduce sound when many alerts arrive in quick succession. Names vary by device; see Android help. The app respects those settings and cannot force sound.
If something goes wrong
- An announcement is no longer available: an administrator may have deleted it. It is removed when the app refreshes its data; a copy saved offline may remain visible. A push notification, received email and files already downloaded are not removed from your phone.
- You cannot see an expected announcement: check the active club and ask whether your family was in the audience.
- A notification did not arrive: check device permissions; the announcement may still be visible in Clybo’.
- An attachment does not open: select it again to create a new link.
- You need to correct personal information: do not reply in a group channel; start a private conversation.
- A notice remains at the top after you read it: the club pinned it; reading it does not remove the highlight.
